He started playing guitar in 1962 (at the age of 7). Classical guitarist training (Diploma of Conservatory with highest grades), is performer and author of pieces with jazz-exotic influences. International soloist, since 1978 he played
in the major cities of 28 Nations through Europe, America, Africa, Asia
and Australia. Many of his performances and interviews were transmitted by Rai Radiotelevisione italiana, Bayerischer Rundfunk (Germany), Televisione Svizzera, Österreich Rundfunk (Austria), Radio Romania Music Channel, Belaruskae Radio e Nazionalnoe Televidenie (Bielorussia), 2M-Telèvision (Morocco), Libya Tv, Dalian Television (China), Radio Republik Indonesia, Rete Italia (Australia), and many others. On September 2001, Lafasciano played in Manhattan (New York University) dedicated to the victims of the attack to the World Trade Centre. Lafasciano has held Master Classes and Work Shops in various centres among which: Academy of classical guitar of Milan (Italy), Conservatory "G.Enescu" of Bucarest (Rumania), Academy of music “M.Glinka” of Minsk (Belarus), Johann Strauss School of Music in Malta, Guitar Stage of Albi (France), Music School of Bergen (Germany), Conservatory of Casablanca (Morocco), Dalian Art College (China), University of Jakarta (Indonesia). In 1985 he has met privately the legendary maestro Andrés Segovia who allowed him to play his guitar. He has recorded CD’s, published original works, arrangements and is Jury member at international competitions. Lafasciano played with some of his famous friends: Franco Cerri, Romano Mussolini, Bruno De Filippi, Tullio De Piscopo, Mario Rusca, Siegfried Behrend, Deutsche Zupforchester, Takashi Ochi, Marco Fornaciari .
